I really love it when clothes feel like they belong in the days when my great-grandmother was young.
As if they’ve been lying neatly folded in an old dresser out in the country, between linen sheets and embroidered pillowcases, just waiting to be worn again.
Alva has exactly that feel.
The soft cotton feels cool against the skin when you crawl into bed at night and just as comfortable when you tiptoe out early in the morning before the rest of the house has woken up. It’s a nightgown you’d love to sip your first cup of coffee of the day in, open the patio door in, and listen to the birds for a while before the day gets going.
The small pink flowers and the off-white background give it a rustic, simple feel in that way that never goes out of style. I almost think it’s just as lovely hanging on an old wooden hanger as it is to wear.
