There are white blouses that feel almost like little treasures from the past. As if they’d been folded away in an old chest of drawers in the countryside alongside linen sheets, embroidered pillowcases, and other items saved because they were too nice to part with.

This one is exactly like that. The soft cotton has an old-fashioned white hue, and across the fabric are beautiful embroidery and small sections of broderie anglaise. But perhaps the most lovely feature is the large collar, with its embroidered lace edges that continue around the shoulders and are just as beautiful from the back.

Paired with a pair of old jeans or our mole-brown corduroy pants, it takes on that effortlessly rustic and relaxed look we love so much. And when fall gets cooler, it’s wonderful under a cardigan, a knitted vest, or a slightly low-cut wool sweater, with the large white collar showing on top.
