From the Last Warm Days to Winter

There are dresses that almost make you start longing for cooler days. This one is one of them.

Right now, we can picture it on the dry late-summer lawn, with bare legs and feet in the grass while the last warm evening sun filters through the trees. The hollyhocks are still blooming by the porch, and the garden has started to take on that slightly untamed look it gets when summer is coming to an end.

And a few months later, it’s the same dress you slip on with thick wool socks when there’s frost outside.

The forest-green color and the soft knit feel like they were made for fall and winter. The yarn contains both wool and alpaca and is warm and cozy without feeling itchy. A beautiful patterned knit adorns the chest and shoulders, and the small knitted ruffles on the sleeves are just the right amount of cute. The long sleeves are slightly wider and end with wide knitted cuffs.

It’s easy to see why we loved it so much the last time we had it. First, apple picking and golden fields, then baskets of mushrooms and wet leaves— and eventually winter mornings, Christmas tree hunting, and snow outside the windows.
